David Cook guitarist/ MWK lead singer/ To Have Heroes and all around great guy Andy Skib wed his longtime love Jennie Nye last night in Tulsa, Ok. Friends there said it proved the existence of true love!

I wish them nothing but success and a lifetime of love.

City Girl goes all nature

Summer is by far my favorite season!  The warm sun beating down on my skin, swimming in pools, crashing waves on my skin, digging my feat into hot sand while I actually manage to have the quieted mind I need to read a book.   So as nature would have it, Winter is by far my least favorite season.  I hate being cold, which I constantly am, and there are only two good things I can think of during Winter- Christmas ( all though that's got drawbacks too) and Disney World trips. That is just not enough  (Last year there was three- baby Thomas finally made his debut but even so.) 
Between the two comes the most aromatic season, and possibly aesthetically pleasing Autumn.  At time I get to that dark place where I see it as little more than the slow death of another Summer but, when not wishing to hibernate, I do tend to enjoy some of what the season has to offer and one of the best parts is apple pie, I mean picking.

There was plenty of delicious food including my favorite bakery.

As is mandatory, there was also creepy characters that don't look like real characters, and clowns.

New Job = New look

As I've mentioned the Gigi and Thomas Era is over.  Sure it will not be the last time (hopefully) that you hear about them but for the last two weeks I have been nothing but their friend.  While this is actually fine with me as nobody needs to pay me to love them, it did leave a vacancy in my wallet. 

Luckily, being the people that my former employers are, they made sure we had a new job lined up.
Introducing my new little friend Xavier!!   I am sure you'll end up hearing him included in my future adventures and his apartment has a great view.

And now a Political Post...

Just a casual reminder that Mitt Romney physically assaulted a gay man.  Santorum was two letters away from calling Obama the n-word on national television.  Paul Ryan laughed as an elderly man with a broken arm was tackled to the ground.  All three of them have expressed their hatred of women in their policies.

Deadly serious reminder that if you vote for them, you are promoting people that have attitudes think these are okay things to do.

Some new David Cook stuff

Yesterday David Cook had one of his not often enough performances and, as part of it he did a Counting Crows cover! The day before, however, he did an interview and dropped a bomb... He has a girlfriend Okay, technically there was a rumor that he had a girlfriend but this was the first time HE confirmed it. His timing sucks but I hope David and girlfriend are happy together, I really do- if it isn't me I hope it's someone nice and I wish them luck because, trust me, with some DC fans she's going to need it
