Recently, director Christopher Nolan stated that the Joker will not be a part of his Batman Trilogy's final chapter THE DARK KNIGHT RISES. While I personally think that he said that as a decoy so people are surprised by archived footage of Heath Ledger's character or some mention of unseen hi-jinx, either way Ledger himself will obviously not be a part of it and last night, as the new trailer (below) was unveiled by his former cast mates, it is clear his presence is still sorely missed.
