Words and birds
In the first few days of January, I began to help my friend with the game Words With friends. She had gotten a kindle for Christmas and it was the first time I had experienced it first hand, though I had heard from family members and read online how addictive it was. On the fourth I started my own account and after a few minutes, I was hooked.
The game is very simple, it is online Scrabble which was never one of my favorite games. However, my competing nature takes hold of me and i can't get enough of it. Though it is called Words With friends, for the most part I play using the random opponent option and my most exciting games have been with friends famous people. For instance Beau Bridges and I are in our second heated game is (I often yell screw you Bridges!! at my phone) and, thanks to assistance by my mother, I am kicking Andrew Garfield's (Spokesman coming Summer 2012) butt. However, favorite opponent might just be Python alum and director Terry Gilliam who goes back and forth between Gilliamesque words like dire and bleak (like it looking bleak that he will ever make a Don Quite movie though he is in dire need for work) and using different words for poop.
And as if my addiction to one game wasn't enough, when I got my new phone-which I really needed but did make sure it was capable of operating Wwf- it came with Angry Birds (which David Cook once called ridiculously addictive.) If you didn't know this is a game where you try had kill pigs with birds you shoot with a slingshot with the level of difficulty going up each time. Oh I hate those little piggies, especially when they are smug and have mustaches. I am doing rather well though some battles have taken a lot of tries.
So yeah, this is how constructively I spend the time off from work.

Terry Gilliam's Wholly Family coming to anywhere near you
Because we live in a world that punishes anyone who challenges people to think, Terry Gilliam tends to not get Green lights when it comes to movie ideas. Everyone talks about how great he is but nobody gives him money to actually enhance the cinematic experience above the mind numbing-ness that comes as a side effect of too many explosions and easily resolved problems of a Rom-Com.* For this reason, Gilliam has not made a movie since Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus which was released 3 years ago.**
Luckily, last year he was presented the opportunity to make a short film, THE WHOLLY FAMILY which will now be released straight to fans, ready for viewing on January 23.
Imagine that, viewing something straight from the source without money hungry middlemen, the way things used to be, as TG explained in a lovely fairytale on the films official Facebook Page. Enjoy watching and let's all hope that someone funds his dreams soon!!
*other symptoms may include disillusion that robots are your friends, you car can save the day, your neighbors are superheroes, fear that strangers are super villains, and desires to "meet cute." IN RARE CASES: depression may occur when your barista does not fall in love with you and you realize you can never turn blue and/or move to Pandora. If symptoms occur please stop viewing and immediately pop in BRAZIL to see what you should actually be scared of...
**HE has however been recieving awards left and right for his greatness, which, as I mentioned nobody will take a risk on and fund future greatness.

Heath Ledger in The Thornbirds
DISCLAIMER: This post is nothing but nonsensical. While watching THE ORDER aka THE SIN EATER, a thought crossed my mind that Ledger would have made a really good Father Ralph. Now, there are no plans to remake the story and even if there were, obviously Ledger couldn't be in it but I will be making my hypothetical argument here anyway.
1- If there were ever a priest to fall for, he would be it.
2- Though not obvious in the mini series, Fr. Ralph was supposed to be Irish, Ledger did Irish in NED KELLY & ROAR
3- Beach sex seen+ Heath= me happy
4- BROKEBACK Proved that he could successfully pull off being torn between what your heart wants (Meggie Cleary) and what you are.
5-Though primarily a love story, the relationship between Fr. Ralph and Meggie starts when he is the only one to care about her as a little girl. As a father, he'd have the tenderness to pull this off.
6- It takes place in Australia
7- It involves his character dying which happened in at least half his movies so he's used to it
8-It would give him a chance to work with Terry Gilliam again (I've decided he's directing, he needs the work)
9-He has already been trained for the stunts and horse riding
and lastly,
10- Seeing what he would have looked like old
